Pitagórica has been conducting surveys in Portugal for 20 years, and almost from the very beginning we have been relying on TESI to support us with tools that are increasingly adapted to the challenges of modern times. Gandia Integra CatiNet became our trusted software for telephone surveys, and as soon as MobiNet appeared in 2012, we committed to it, being one of the first institutes to start working with it in Portugal.
And in 2019, Pitagórica made history in the Portuguese legislative elections, as for the first time in exit polls we used tablets equipped with the MobiNet software to collect voting intentions. With this method, we were able to triple the number of interviews with the same number of interviewers, and we were able to track the evolution of the results in almost real time.
The new questionnaire design features from TESI allowed us to create a perfect simulation of the actual ballot paper without any buttons! The respondent simply selected on the tablet the party they had previously voted for. Even in the second-oldest country in Europe, TESI’s tools rose to the challenge. It is important to say that Pitagórica’s surveys were considered the most innovative and the ones that achieved the best results in these elections, having been praised by most Portuguese media outlets.
These results are due to the technical skills of Pitagórica’s team, but also to a trusted partner like TESI, who we knew was up to the challenge and who supported us enthusiastically in a very short time. Also congratulations to the entire TESI team.
