TESI contributes to the technological optimization and innovation of research projects at the University of Granada

This post is dedicated to one of our clients with whom we share a history of more than two decades: the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology of the University of Granada. A collaboration that began with the incorporation of the CATI system for conducting telephone surveys, becoming since then a key solution for numerous academic research projects and applied fieldwork.

For years, it was used to produce a barometer, the General Survey of Public Opinion of Andalusia (EGOPA), as well as to carry out pre- and post-electoral surveys. Currently, our tools are mainly used in the Departments of Political Science and Administration and Sociology. Specifically through the Faculty’s laboratory, PoliSocioLAB, where teaching staff are supported in the integration of this software in both teaching and practical work in methodology subjects, facilitating its use by the educational community.

One of the main strengths of the tools highlighted by the University of Granada is the control of fieldwork, as it allows real-time monitoring of the development of the survey, the application of validation mechanisms, the control of quotas and the detection of incidents during data collection. Another aspect particularly valued by the client is the ability to design complex questionnaires, with advanced routing structures, which makes it a very effective solution for electoral surveys and complex social studies.

And how have TESI’s solutions contributed to the optimization of the quality and efficiency of the work?

Furthermore, as our client assures, its use has contributed “directly to reducing human errors and minimizing data cleaning times. Fieldwork control, response validation and consistency between the questionnaire and the database allow us to move almost immediately from fieldwork to analysis, without the need to use intermediate manual processes. All of this translates into an improvement in methodological quality and greater reliability of the data.”
