The team is on a high, and for good reason. Our 40th-anniversary day was unforgettable because of everything the people who joined us made us feel. They made us proud of what we have achieved over these four decades and what we intend to achieve in the near future. To our clients, suppliers, the international team who connected via streaming, and other colleagues who decided to cross the pond, a thousand thanks for being with us.
The first thing we want to highlight from the event are the words dedicated to us by some of our clients. The day would not have been so perfect if it weren’t for how they spoke about us.
Gonzalo Adán, director of the Instituto Balear de Estudios Sociales (IBES), Francisco Bachiller, Director of Operations at Kantar, and José Antonio Ponga, Market Research Operations Consultant, thanked the team for our commitment and closeness to them.
Some of the phrases we want to remember are:
“I want to thank you for everything you do for clients. You are part of my life.” “It’s a pride to have you.” “Throughout this career, I have seen all kinds of software, and I highlight the great knowledge and talent you have.” “Congratulations on 40 years of success. TESI is the provider you need, and no one should tire of asking, because they have the tools to find the solution.” “TESI is that family that has instilled in us clients that we are part of it, and as members, we feel sheltered and protected.”
Really, thank you so much for these touching words. We will definitely frame them!
The afternoon began with a speech by TESI’s Director, Manuel Rocha, who highlighted the “team’s satisfaction at having fulfilled one of the company’s main objectives: responding to the multiple needs of clients, constantly providing service and developing the most cutting-edge technology on the market with the integration of our systems, and also promoting security and compatibility.”
“Our colleagues are, along with our clients, the main reasons why we strive every day to be better professionals and people. Because behind the work, there are great people.”
Subsequently, the founders Pep Pellicer and Josep Múria took the stage 😉 and recalled how they created Tesi, along with Rafael Furió and Sune Westling.
"In 1984, with just a basement located in Gandía, a car, two desktop microcomputers, a 25-kilo laptop, and a 20-kilo printer, we founded the company and dedicated ourselves to traveling across Spain and Latin America. Without a doubt, it was a bold move to go out and conquer the market in a situation of monopoly."
Josep recounted that during the early days, the team visited California (Silicon Valley) and the first microcomputing companies being created in Europe. They traveled a total of 1,600,000 kilometers, in addition to the more than 20 trips they made throughout Latin America.
The celebration continued with speeches from some technical team colleagues like Carles Climent, Enric Sanchis, Roberto Gil, and Vicent Baixauli, who highlighted the main lines of action they are currently developing to offer powerful tools that are easy to use, intuitive, comfortable, and secure.
Very soon, in an upcoming post, we will tell you all about these technological advances in detail.
For their part, Raquel Cachinero and Ángel Nieto, from the commercial department, dedicated their speech to the company’s expansion and new market trends. They thanked the clients for “these 40 years of learning alongside the clients.” Thanks to this special complicity, we grow stronger every day.”
They also spoke about the main factors of the expansion in Latin America, such as the creation of strategies with commercial representatives in the main countries with whom “TESI has maintained a very good relationship for years” and being present in the main sector associations (ESOMAR, Insights + Analytics, AIM, AMAI, ACEI,…)
Another strong point of the expansion is the “possibility of offering clients ad-hoc developments tailored to each need, letting them know they are listened to at all times, which always represents an added value. This is possible at TESI because the entire programming team is in-house, and we do not depend on external personnel.”
The event concluded by recalling the challenges Tesi currently faces and offering these figures that give us momentum to go for half a century of history.
308 clients, in more than 12 countries!
Manuel Rocha also wanted to pay tribute to the colleagues who have been with the company for over 25 years, because, as a client told us: “Behind a great future lies a great past.”
With this golden touch, we close our 40th anniversary. THANK YOU ALL!
