Key tools for political studies

With the European Parliament elections near, many companies, entities, and public bodies are studying how citizens interact with political parties. They focus on electoral behavior, the factors determining the vote for one party or another, the assessment of candidates to explain voting intention, or how the diversity of political parties is reflected in the electoral map. In short, they focus on researching the profile of a country’s voters using tools that interpret and analyze large volumes of information.

To carry out this arduous work, meticulous monitoring of the entire information capture process is key, and this is where the TESI team comes into play. 😉

Since our creation in 1984, TESI’s activity has focused on software development and service provision, aiming to facilitate data collection and analysis for clients through a wide range of intuitive, user-friendly, and easy-to-use tools, so that the researcher can make decisions easily. This applies both in the political sphere and in other areas: tourism, distribution, marketing, pharmaceuticals, public bodies, universities…

As usual, the Tesi team is fully dedicated to assisting clients conducting political studies throughout the entire electoral phase, supporting their needs from pre-election studies and exit polls to the analysis of post-election results.

We invite you to join us for a brief overview of the main advanced tools from TESI that meet the needs of the researcher, in this case, for political studies.

Gandia Qüest – Gandia Integra

It is a multichannel data capture software with three interview modules (1. CatiNet for telephone interviews, 2. CawiNet for online surveys, 3. MobiNet for mobile devices without an internet connection) that incorporates a designer for electronic questionnaires/forms, unique for the three modules, called Gandia Qüest.

The platform is fully interactive as it uses visual components, with no need for programming or IT skills.

It supports all types of questions, filters, skips, batteries, interviewer alerts, allows playing and capturing multimedia content, collects GPS coordinates for geopositioning fieldwork… among many other functionalities.

For exit polls, the MobiNet module is the most used solution as it allows managing interviews offline with any type of mobile device, quickly and securely, as has been done in numerous electoral processes and in different countries (Portugal, Colombia…).

Gandia Barbwin

It is a tool for the statistical analysis of collected data. Thanks to its different features and usability, it allows clients to perform any type of tabulation, balancing, weighting, multivariate analysis… in an agile, fast, and comfortable way. With it, the researcher can learn, for example, the profile of voters and their preferences based on different variables (sex, age, marital status…), in addition to being able to draw the conclusions of their study.

Segmentanet

TESI offers the service of creating and disseminating control panels to publish and share field reports and results online, publicly or at the user level, with different roles.

It allows connecting data from different sources (Gandia Integra, SPSS, BarbWin, Excel…) and inserting a wide variety of analyses into reports: double and multiple entry tables with filter application, pivot tables, graphs, geographic maps, heat maps, indicators, labels, word clouds… etc.

See this example we prepared for a pre-election study for the Government of Andorra.

If you’ve made it this far, we would also like to tell you that, in addition to these tools, the user always has the security of TESI’s support and accompaniment service.
